Windows XP:

1) Open the Start menu.

2) Click on the Control Panel.

3) Click on the option Add or Remove Programs and remove all the suspicious program.

Windows 7 or Windows Vista:

1) Click on the Start menu and then Control Panel.

2) From the programs option, access the option Uninstall a program.

3) Remove all the suspicious programs.

Windows 8 or Windows 8.1:

1) Press the Windows key + Q to open the search bar.

2) Type Control Panel in the search bar and click the icon.

3) Go to Uninstall a program and remove all the suspicious programs.

Windows 10:

1) To launch Settings, tap on the Windows key + I.

2) Then click on Control Panel.

3) Open Uninstall a program.

4) Delete all the suspicious programs.

Google Chrome:

1) Open Chrome browser, at the top on the right side, click on the icon menu, and choose “Settings “from there. Go to on startup option, click the option “Set pages”, delete the unwanted web address and then click on the “OK” button.

2) Then go to Appearance option, check “Show Home button”, and then click “Change”. On the pop-up window, delete the unwanted website address in Open this page option, and then click “OK”.

3) Click on the History tab, thenclick on the “Clear browsing date…” button. On the confirmation window, click on the option “Clear browsing date”, and then close the Chrome browser.

4) Click on the “Start” button, search “Google Chrome”, right click on it, and then choose “properties”. Go to Shortcut tab, on the pop-up window, delete the extension after “.exe” in Target, and then click “OK” button.

5) Now close Google Chrome browser and then re-open it. Now your problem would has been fixed.

Microsoft Edge:

1) At the bottom of the screen, there is a search bar next to Windows 10 icon, type your homepage URL in that search bar and hit Enter button.

2) Microsoft Edge will be opened up with a new tab for your default search engine. Here you can see “Your Windows (Microsoft) Computer has been blocked” pop-up will be open in this new tab that doesn’t have focus.

3) Click the “X” to close Edge and do not click on the pop-up “Your Windows (Microsoft) Computer has been blocked” or it will get focus again.

Internet Explorer:

1) Click on the “Start” button, find “Internet Explorer” and then right click on it. Select the option “properties”. On the pop-up window, click on the Shortcut tab, now in the Target, delete the extension after “.exe” and then click “OK”.

2) Now open the Internet Explorer, click on the gear icon, select “Internet options”, click on the General tab, then click “Use new tab” or type your favorite website address, and then click on the “Apply” option.

3) Click “Delete…” button on General tab, going to the “Delete Browsing History” window, click “Delete”, and then “OK” button to close the Internet Options window.

4) Now close Internet Explorer and then re-open it. Now your problem would has been fixed.

Mozilla Firefox:

1) Open the Firefox browser, at the top on the right side, click on the icon menu and then choose “Options”. Click on the General tab, select the option “Restore to Default”, and then click “OK”.

2) Now select “History” then click on the option “Clear Recent History…”. Then on the pop-up window, click “Clear Now” button.

3) Click on the “Start button”, search “Mozilla Firefox”, and right click on it, and then choose “properties”. On the pop-up window, click on the Shortcut tab, then delete the extension after “.exe” in Target, and then click on the “OK” button.

4) Now close Mozilla Firefox and then re-open it. Now your problem would has been fixed.

  • Now Remove suspicious add-ons/extensions from web browsers

Google Chrome:

1) On the browser toolbar of the Chrome, click on the Chrome menu.

2) Click “Tools”, then “Extensions”.

4) To completely remove the program, click the trash can icon by the extensions.

5) When a confirmation dialog appears, just click “Remove”.

Mozilla Firefox:

1) Open the Mozilla Firefox and then open its menu. From there, select “Add-ons” that will open the Add-ons Manager tab.

Internet Explorer:

1) Open the Chrome Browser, click on its Menu, and then select Settings from there.

5) Reset your computer.

 Reset Internet Explorer

1) If you’re a Windows 8 users, Open the Internet Explorer then click on the gear icon gear icon (at the upper right corner of IE and select Internet options from the list. And Windows 7, Vista & XP user need to click on the Tools in the main menu and then select Internet Options from the list.

2) Click “Advanced tab” at the upper right corner in the Internet options window, and then click Reset button.

3) Now a window will pop up to put a check mark on the “Delete personal settings” and then click Reset button.

4) When a confirmation dialog appears, Click on the Close button.

5) Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

Reset Firefox

1) Click the menu button at the right side of the screen.

2) Selectthe option Troubleshooting Information from the list.

3) Click on the Refresh Firefox button in the opened window.

4) Click on the Refresh Firefox button, when a confirmation dialog pops up.

5) And finally restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
