What is SPC Optimizer?

SPC Optimizer belongs to the category of potentially unwanted program which promotes itself as as system optimization tool that is capable of performing temporary file cleaning and registry cleaning functions on your device.  This is a free to download application that misleads the users by claiming of being a tool that can optimize the performance of your machine.  This program claims to detect Cookies, Internet Files, and Temp files, but while using it for the purpose, it shows the same results of scan.

It is found that this program bundles tech support scam programs that try to lock the computer users out of their Windows desktop and ask them to call a particular number to access their machine.  Sometimes, this program may also force users to buy software and services of third-party companies to unlock their Windows desktop. User should avoid this program as it doesn’t exhibit characteristics of a good software program.

How does the SPC Optimizer get on your computer?

SPC Optimizer and other such infections get installed on you devices by other programs that do not adequately disclose the presence of any other software program attached with them. Some programs that you download off of the Internet install unwanted programs and infections along with them so it is user’s responsibility to take care of what they are downloading off of the internet and which free software is also being installed with the first-place software. Pay attention to the installation screens and license agreements.

If an installation screen offers you Advanced or Custom installation options, select any of the two options to know what other 3rd party software will also be installed along with the main program. Cancel the installation process immediately if the license agreement or installation screens state that any other unwanted adware or toolbar is going to install. Don’t use the free software that you find suspicious as they may try and trick innocent users. As you can notice that the SPC Optimizer is such type of program that shows doubtful characteristics and if you are an innocent computer user, you are a soft target for the developers of such programs.

It is important to note that this program is installed by other programs that do not adequately disclose if any other software would be installed along with it. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to the license agreements and installation screens while installing anything off of the Internet. If an installation screen offers you Custom or Advanced installation options, better to select any of the two options as they will typically disclose what other 3rd party software will also be installed. Furthermore, if the license agreement or installation screens state that they are going to install a toolbar or other unwanted adware, cancel the install and not use the free software. In my opinion, SPC Optimizer does not perform as advertised rather it impose risks and threats on your device.
